Welcome to Fall TV

While some shows had their fall premieres last week the majority of shows are debuting this week. Let’s call last week a cold opening. This week truly is premiere week. Some of the shows I’m looking forward to the most this season are Community, The Big Bang Theory, House, Hawaii Five-0, Dexter, Chuck and Modern Family. I’m also looking forward to some shows that almost lost me last year and hope they don’t let me down this year such as How I Met Your Mother, The Office, and 30 Rock.

As far as new shows go, Boardwalk Empire was fantastic in its debut, but other than that there are only a handful of new shows that I’m willing to give a shot. Hawaii Five-0 update looks interesting and I like most of their cast. The Event also looks intriguing but it’s on NBC and they never give any shows a shot at success and every entrance into the serialized drama arena they’ve put forward failed. I will also give My Generation a chance as it looks like it might be decent, though I hate Jaime King. I’ll also watch No Ordinary Family. The pilot, which I reviewed, was pretty good and I’ll stick around, at least for a while.

What shows are you looking forward to the most? Are there any shows you’re giving up on this year that you have watched in the past?
