There’s a lot of controversy surrounding the latest issue of GQ which features some of the Glee cast in provocative poses and clothing. The “Glee Gone Wild!” GQ photos are drawing the most criticism from The Parents Television Council, who say the pics “borders on pedophilia.”
In response to a statement from the PTC, GQ’s editor-in-chief issued this statement: “The Parents Television Council must not be watching much TV these days and should learn to divide reality from fantasy. As often happens in Hollywood, these ‘kids’ are in their twenties. Cory Montieth’s almost 30! I think they’re old enough to do what they want.”
Honestly, I don’t see what the big deal is. GQ is not dressing up 14 year olds and having them pose. These kids portray high school students, they aren’t really high school students.
I remember when Britney Spears posed for her first Rolling Stones cover and there was a lot of controversy regarding her attire. That made more sense because she was actually a teenager when that photoshoot took place, not a 24 year old pretending to be a 16 year old. This is a completely different situation.
You can check out the rest of the photos over at GQ.
