Lost fans who miss the terrific acting of Jeremy Davies won’t have to wait long before they can see him on the screen again. Davies has been added to the cast of the second season of FX’s Justified.
Lost’s Jeremy Davies has boarded FX’s neo-Western Justified, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Jeremy Davies is joining the show’s season two cast in a heavily recurring role as a nemesis to Timothy Olyphant’s U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens. Davies will play Dickie Bennett, the smartest of three brothers and a high school rival of Givens. Since Prohibition, the Bennett and Givens families have warred like the Hatfields and McCoys. Dickie’s family traffics in weed, for which Bennett spent time in prison. He still walks with a limp due to an altercation with Raylan on the baseball field when they were both 17.
Justified follows, Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens, a 19th century-style but modern-day officer, who enforces his brand of justice which puts a target on his back with criminals and puts him at odds with his bosses in the U.S. Marshals Service. As a result of his having eagerly shot a Miami fugitive in a “justified” shooting in his South Florida assignment, he gets reassigned to the district covering his rural Eastern Kentucky mining hometown of Harlan County.
