Some big news about House’s 8th (and most likely final) season dropped. Hoping House and Cuddy get back together? Won’t happen. Lisa Edelstein, the actress who plays Cuddy, will not be back next season. Said in a statement, “After much consideration, I am moving onward with a combination of disappointment at leaving behind a character I have loved playing for seven years and excitement of the new opportunities in acting and producing that lie ahead.”

Matt Letscher will co-star in the HBO comedy pilot Spring/Fall, as the ex-husband of Tea Leoni’s fashion maven Margo.

Olivia Munn has joined Aaron Sorkin’s HBO drama pilot, which centers on a fictional cable news network. And now I’m not looking forward to this show as much as I was.

Conan O’Brien is bringing his late-night act back to New York, where it first began. TBS announced today that O’Brien’s show will spend four nights at New York’s Beacon Theater, beginning Oct. 31, to celebrate his cable show’s one-year anniversary. In 2012, Conan will hit the road again, with a trip to Chicago.

CBS has canceled Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior after one season. CSI: NY, which was picked up for an eighth season.

Marvel Entertainment and ABC Studios are teaming up to create a hardcover novel inspired by Castle. The graphic novel, entitled Richard Castle’s Deadly Storm, will be the first effort in a partnership between Marvel and ABC, both owned by Disney.
