Showtime has just announced that the Emmy-winning The United States of Tara will not be returning for a fourth season next year. The series follows the life of Tara, a suburban housewife and mother coping with dissociated identity disorder. The third, and now final season, ends this summer.
Nurse Jackie, which stars Edie Falco, has been renewed for a fourth season. The show revolves around a drug-addicted nurse as she struggles to find a balance between the demands of her frenetic job at a New York City hospital and an array of personal dramas.
The Borgias has also been renewed for a second season. Dubbed “The Original Crime Family,” The Borgias chronicles Rodrigo Borgia as he becomes Pope, and the corruption that follows him.
