DirecTV is bringing their NFL Sunday Ticket to Android tablets and the Playstation 3 this fall. If you don’t have DirecTV, PS3 owners can get in on the action by paying a flat $339.95 fee.
Theon Greyjoy’s father, Balon Greyjoy, on Game of Thrones has been cast. Patrick Malahide will be playing Balon for an unspecified number of episodes in the second season.
Breaking In, the Christian Slater show that was canceled by Fox is back from the dead. The networked ordered 13 more episodes of the caper comedy. The show will appear on Fox’s midseason schedule.
Tahmoh Penikett has landed a starring role in the TNT movie Innocent, based on Scott Turow’s book of the same name. He plays Jim Brand, a hot-headed, tenacious prosecutor after one guy: Bill Pullman’s Judge Rusty Sabich, who has been charged with the murder of his wife. Convinced Rusty did it while others doubt, Brand takes matters into his own hands.
Beginning Sept. 5, repeats of Hey Arnold! and Rocko’s Modern Life will replace Clarissa Explains It All and Doug on Tuesday and Thursdays. The two-hour block, The ’90s Are All That, airs on weeknights from midnight to 2 a.m., and re-plays from 2-4 a.m.
“Uncle Frank” Potenza, Jimmy Kimmel’s uncle, passed away yesterday at the age of 77. Uncle Frank spent 20 years as a New York City police officer before eventually becoming a staple on Kimmel’s late night show in 2003.
Chord Overstreet, who plays a high school student on Glee, will appear as a 4th grade teacher on The Middle.
Greg Grunberg will portray an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent based out of Honolulu on an episode of Hawaii Five-0.
MSNBC is giving a nightly talk forum to the Rev. Al Sharpton. Sharpton has been guest hosting the cable news network’s Live at 6 p.m. show, but today MSNBC made a formal announcement that Sharpton will take over the slot permanently.
Isaiah Mustafa has been cast as Det. Ray Goodson, a hunky lawman whom dirtyish cop-turned-Angel Kate used to date on Charlie’s Angels.
