There’s a rumor going around that Arrested Development may return to TV for a short season before the long-rumored movie would premiere. There is a catch though.
Series creator Mitch Hurwitz announced Sunday at The New Yorker Festival that he wants to bring Arrested back to television for a brief mini-season of 9-10 episodes. Each episode would feature one cast member and focus on that cast member’s Bluth character in order to catch viewers up on what has happened since the series went off the air.
Of course, just like the movie, this is all talk. When filming on these episodes actually begins, I might get a little more excited. You also have to wonder where the series would air. Would Fox get first crack and, if so, would they actually want to air it?
It’s an interesting concept and I hope it does pan out.
