AMC has announced the premiere dates for The Killing’s second season and Mad Men’s fifth.
The Killing will pick up where the first season left off on Sunday, April 1st at 8/7c. Don’t expect to find out who actually killed Rosie Larson right away, though. Rumors have it that the killer won’t be revealed until the finale of season 2. Be prepared for another long, slow-paced season.
The Killing angered fans and critics alike after a slow moving first season in which there was no payoff in revealing who the killer actually is. AMC apologized for misleading fans and promised that the killer would be revealed in season 2.
New episodes of Mad Men will finally return to the airwaves on March 25th at 9/8c. The critically acclaimed series hasn’t had a new episode in over a year. The delay was partly because of tough negotiations between Matthew Weiner and AMC. The season 5 premiere will span two hours.
AMC also announced that season 3 of The Walking Dead received a larger order, getting 16 episodes for the season which will (most likely) premiere next fall. The second half of season 2 will begin on February 12.
