HBO Sets Premiere Dates of Game of Thrones, Veep, and Game Change

Game of Thrones fans only have to wait a few more months to get their fix of the series based on George R. R. Martin’s fantasy books. The network announced that the show would begin its 10 episode second season on Sunday, April 1st at 9/8c.

In addition to Game of Thrones, HBO announced the premiere date (April 22nd) of the new half-hour comedy Veep starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus as former senator who becomes vice president of the United States.

Speaking of politics, the HBO movie Game Change (based on the book by the same name) premieres on March 10th. The movie follows the 2008 presidential campaign and stars Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin.

Also on the schedule is Girls, a new series looking at the assorted humiliations and rare triumphs of a group of gals in their early 20s. The series premieres on April 15th.
