Daily: Joss Whedon and Marvel on ABC, Homeland Season 2 Trailer, 2 Broke Girls and More

Here’s your Daily for August 6th, 2012:

Rumors are circulating that Joss Whedon will develop a Marvel TV show for ABC. While details are scarce at the moment, ABC is looking to The Avengers director to develop a series that would not necessarily involve the same characters from The Avengers but they are wanting the same look and feel.

TBS’s Men at Work have cast Frasier alumnae Peri Gilpin as Alex, the new boss at Full Steam magazine, the publication in which the main characters work.

High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale will appear on two episodes of Sons of Anarchy this season playing an escort that has a relationship with Jax.

The CW’s Hart of Dixie has cast Broadway star and Country Singer Laura Bell Bundy as a potential love interest for George Tucker. She will appear in at least two episodes.

Showtime has releases a trailer for the second season of the hit series Homeland. Watch the trailer below.

Thomas Lennon has been cast as Victoria’s left-at-the-altar fiance on How I Met Your Mother.

TBS has acquired the rerun rights to CBS’ 2 Broke Girls. The network is said to have paid $1.7 million an episode. The reruns will begin airing in 2015.
