James Gandolfini has died at age 51.
The actor, best known for his work as New Jersey mob boss Tony Soprano on HBO’s The Sopranos, died in Italy, while attending the Taormina Film Festival, of a possible heart attack. HBO reps confirmed his death.
Gandolfini’s other credits include the movies Get Shorty, Zero Dark Thirty and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Lin, a son and a baby daughter.
